Yes, i'm a newbie!

Hello Guys, great forum here !

I saw a video on youtube about airsoft games with simulation, scenario and things like that i wow, i must say i need to be part of this.

I'm 28 from Quebec city, always been a fan of pellets gun for target shooting but what can i say, airsoft games looks like so much fun.

I have most of the stuff needed to go to an event:

Tactical vest
Camo pants, boots, shirt
Glasses
Radio
Red dot
Tactical flash light

I'm only missing a gun. From my shopping, i think i'll go for a M4 by GG. Probably a full metal one ( electric )

My question is : Most events i've seen posted here are with a max FPS of 350. If my gun is 400, is there a way to lower that FPS ?
( i saw a lot of mods to increase the FPS, but none to lower it )

I wouldn't want to invest 600$ in a gun that would not let me play...

Also, i see there was no event recently in quebec city... ( don't get me wrong, i would be willing to make 2 or 3 hours trip by car to play ) but no one ever made a game in Qc City ?

I might be able to make a scenario here with 2 teams of 10 people... of course, i'll try to attend some of your events first and try to make contacts... But i'm just saying that i'm a factory owner with 25 000 ++ sf of what could become a nice playground indoor.

Looking forward to ear from you!

During the winter and early spring, a majority of games happen in Montreal, or in the surrounding area. Since you are over 18, you can meet an Age Verifier in your area and get access to the amazing classifieds here. Meeting the rep isn't hard, just show ID and you're good to go, wait a week or two, then before you know it, you wont have to spend 600$ and you can buy an even better gun for less

hi, yes there's a way do lower your fps. you have to change your spring, it's very simple. I know when you want to increase your fps you change the spring and sometimes the piston, but for lowering 400 to 350, I don't think you got to change anything else, but i might be wrong. If you're willing to do 2-3 hours drive to play, almost everyweek there are games at action500 in montreal, but you'll need to age verified first. hope it help you.

Hey welcome to ASC!

For the G&G, get the metal ones. At ~600$ I'd personally go for a VFC thought.

For the red dot and flashlight, these are toooootally optional, especially (for the flashlight) considering there's no CQB/indoors venue in Quebec city, unfortunately.

You can replace the spring for the winter season and go back up (au printemps) but some very interesting games happend inside during the summer (Mill for instance) plus some summer games require under 400 so... your call...

Plus on G&G AEG and anything else other than ICS it is extensive work to switch springs since you have to disassemble the whole gearbox.

One easy way is to get ICS M4 and new MP5 AEG as they have split gearbox so you can change upper gearbox in about 15 seconds. You get an extra upper gearbox (for about 50$ used to 85$ new) and you can tune your AEG to circonstance

A tad under 350 fps for inside and friendly games
an of course higher outside (I find 375 fps to be (Passe partout) not over strain the gearbox or over drain the batteries.

You should be aware that this design (ICS split gearbox) is not designed for anything over 425fps... but is the easiest AEG to maintain and blueprint

Cheers

First I'm going to echo everyone else and tell you to go get age verified, it's painless and well worth it. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=74996

Now to answer your question, yes you can change FPS rather easily it's just a matter of changing a spring inside the gearbox, a $15 part.
Going up in FPS can sometimes require a stronger motor to accommodate the stronger spring but going down in FPS is usually no problem.

Edit: A gun doc can do this for you if you are not comfortable doing it. See this thread to find one in your area http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=72809

Hello guys! Already got my age verified by seb at surplis pont rouge! While i was there i checked their aisoft models and reallybliked the src hk416. Anyone has comment to do on this gun? Feedbacks welcome before i go buy it!

I'm also on faqc under the same name.

For the factory, i'm deadnserious however, i'll take the time to get into the games already plans before anything. I after i find out everything is cool, i might request r3con1 to come have a look so he can tell me is feed back about the place. Milsim would be nice there! But don't hold your breath yet!

Cheers!

Mon dieu that was fast! From what I've seen, the SRC HK416 is an excellent gun. There should be reviews on here, if not, once you get verified, you can talk to Ken (007airsoft) and Im sure he'll be glad to help you
