Shady Ebay dealers
Well after almost 8 yrs on Ebay I finally got shanked by a shady dealer. I found a set of used PCU on ebay for an awesome price. Well....it's true what they say if it looks to good to be true it probably is.
I received a Brand new set of Knock off PCU. Granted they are actually quite nicely made and seem to be well put together, they are not what I wanted and I paid roughly twice what these knock offs are worth. To top it off the seller closed his Ebay account down this weekend and has yet to answer any of my emails ( I don't actually expect him to). I have filed a claim with Paypal and that should be ok since this was covered under the buyer protection Ebay offers. IF not I will ask my Credit Card company to do a charge back. Lesson here..if it looks like a duck and smells like a duck, it's probably a fucking scam. LOL. Anyone want a set of brand new Knock off PCU in XL, just contact me /rant

Good luck with getting it settled bud.
Can't be as bad as what a co-worker had done, he bought a classic car in great shape from a seller in the UK, and got seriously burned in the deal.............. to the point there was a actually a newspaper article about it not that I can find it now of course, but read it about 6odd years ago)!!! Think he lost about $12k in total. |

5 years doing Ebay and I got burned right before Christmas. Went to go buy my lady a Jimmie Johnson winter Nascar Jacket and never got it. Good thing for Paypal buyer protection cause I was covered. Just file a claim and it should take care of itself. Person insisted that they shipped it and asked me to close the dispute. This right before paypal gave me my full reimbursement. Funny thing, I had a pair of Gortex Woodland pants shipped from Belfast, checked at customs and ordered after the jacket and it got to me before Christmas. Some people would stop at nothing at others expense.
Hang in there, it might take a couple of weeks but paypal will reimburse you. They just have to go through the process they have laid out.

To be honest.. I only buy from Ebay, if it's rare games... I to got shanked from buying a British MK6 helmet... the dealer had 99.7% feedback rate.. the dealer stated that it was shipped but after a month (I should of file a claim off paypal... I was stupid). The item never came.. dealer stopped replying to me.. and I lost 150$. The dealer kept in contact till I couldn't file a claim.. contacting ebay didn't help one bit.

Shitty deal, I've been burned as well, not on ebay(yet) but on ASC and other things. Im grateful that I only lost a hundred bucks as opposed to a few thousand. A lesson well learned.

Put the seller's info up here. Even if they are shut it's worth putting the word out.

Opening a PayPal case is the best way to do it; you're on the right track. It is very likely that you will get reimbursed, but the lame thing is that you're out on the money at this time.

We need an internationnal team of ass kickers. For a small fee, they go kick the fraudulant ass. Better than the usual justice in some cases.

I ordered a battery charger and a new battery from two different sellers on eBay from Hong Kong. I knew it would most likely take about a month, I wasn't expecting anything amazing for shipping rates. My battery made it to me in less than 3 weeks, but still no charger. Two months past, and the seller insisted the charger would arrive. Luckily, he offered me a refund which I accepted. About a couple weeks later I finally got it. I know it's not really a scam story, but it just goes to show how shitty the shipping process can be. |

I ordered a Multicam Shemagh from a guy in the US and it's not arrived.. I read a few bad reviews from the guy but his positive feedback out weighs it.. I asked him why he doesn't have any tracking numbers and he claims because they go by the HONOR system and that tracking only starts at 19.99 on shipping.. Which i know for a fact is bullshit.. I want to report him to ebay but i don;t know what to do i feel ripped off. He says he will ship another one i said ship with a tracking number..
