WE tech 1911 "Knight Hawk"

Hi all !

I am considering buying a new pistol, a 1911 style, and found this WE 1911 knight hawk pistol.

Now, I know that WE makes good, actually REAL good GBBRs, but what about this pistol. I heard mixed reviews about their pistols, so what do you guys think about this particular pistol ?

I've heard they're a hit and miss. I've seen lots of people field their 5.1 Dragons with no problems while I had my 1911 literally fall apart before even hitting the field for the first time. They might have gotten better though, I see fewer people with dead WE pistols now vs 3 years ago when I started.

It's just a WE 1911 dolled up. Anything you read about WE 1911s will apply to it. I'm not a fan of them.

A guy i play with indoors has a WE HiCapa 3.8. When he got it he was like "OMGZ FULL METALZZZ!!!! Awesomeness". But i rather have a stock TM 1911 any day. At least when a TM breaks their are plently of parts available.

WE GBBRs are a whole different level then their pistols.

If you are looking for something in a 1911/2011 platform, I Highly recommend the real deal Tokyo Marui. Mine is an absolute tank, don't let the plastic slide hold you back, they are really well made.

I have had a couple WEs just to have a 1911 in the bag if needed; they're just OK.

If you really want that flavor of pistol get a TM. If you want a metal one check out the classifieds here or go big and have ILLusion build you one.
