Stuck m4 body pin solutions?

Trying to take apart my m4 to throw on a different upper. The screw covering the main body pin is stuck (probably post claybank rust) and I stripped the head.

HOW DOES I FIX!?!?!?

Haha seriously though, I'm all out of ideas. I thought of maybe heating it up to loosen the metal but then I'd run the risk of damaging the hop-up. Also, tried catching the edge of the pin itself with a flathead and knocking it out that way but I cant get enough leverage without wrecking the body.

1- heat will make the metal expand. college materials class 101. metal expands under heat.
2- go out and buy a stripped screw drill bit. they are like 30$ and you will use it again.. trust me.

if all fails, carefully, drill out the screw head with a drill bit. just enough for you to remove the parts. then you will need a new pin, but hey, better then being stuck where you are.

hope this helps!

Or drill/dremel a channel in the head of the screw and then use a flathead.

This statement confuses me. Of course metal expands under heat, that's exactly the idea; the receiver expands and loosens the locked threads of the screw. Are you saying that heat is a bad idea because the screw will expand along with the receiver or are you agreeing that heat is a possible solution? (except for the hopup rubber potentially melting)

You sir are one clever devil. I like this very much indeed.

I use a hacksaw to make a flat on screws, IMO it works better...
