VFC scar H mid cap issues. Fix???

hello again guys, I am having some issues with my scar heavy mid caps. my teamate is also having the same issue. they are listed as 160rd mid caps and they will take that meny BBs. problem is that when u put that many in there the mag doesn't feed properly. Most BBs just fall out the end of the barrel. Once in a while it will shoot a bb the way its supposed to but at around 100rds or less it is back to feeding properly. My high cap works fine. so no isssue with the gun that i can sort out anyway.

So what can i do? Lube? Keep it full to reduce spring tention maybe? I would appretiate all the info you guys could toss my way. Ill give anything a try short of taking it appart and possably damaging it.

Thanks everyone

Sounds like you need some silicon oil in there. Those mags have a spring that snakes up and down in a serpentine pattern and you can get the spring, the follower or BBs jamming up at the multiple changes in direction.

Just bought a Magpul 20LR Pmag. Did a little dremmeling of the rib on the back side of the pmag to allow the rib on the VFC scar magwell to slide in and they work just fine.

Don't STAR make compatible mags for the VFC SCAR H?

STAR SCAR H mags don't go in a VFC, they're specific to M14, SCAR H and XM110 of STAR/ARES.

As far as i know the VFCs will not accept any other mags other then VFC specific heavy mags. But I am going to take Fireboys afvice and try one of the magpul mags. I have iot on order and I am going to try to dremel it to work for the SCAR H by VFC. if i am successful I will post my results here.

Magpul LR20's WORK!!! just needs a little dremeling along the spine on the back of the mag so that it fits beside that little piece that is in the Heavys Magwell. Here are some pics to show you what the mag will look like after you dremmel out the back.

also they feed great!!!

New midcaps and real caps mags need o be broken in, just take some bbs, a speedloader, open you favorite tv show, and start filling the mag with bbs, and empty it, it the bbs get stuck, just give the mag a little tap on the side....

Repeat a couple of times, and your mag will be "broken in" and feed flawlessly!

NB: thats beacause new mags might have some seams lines in the chanel, and the bbs get caught in there... those will break in with repeated use... akak breaking them in!

Hope that helps!

Sve yourself the hassle in cutting into you mags...dremmel/file that rib inside the magwell and you're good as gold.

Well I'm
Not really sure if it will affect the use of your regular VFC mags or not. I always figured it was better to mod a $20 mag instead of a $60 or more lower. Just Incase an issue like your worried about happens you know.
