What's in Your Pouches?
i'm looking to buy more pouches. right now i only have the mag pouches. so i started to wonder what people carry when they play.
so... what kind of stuff do you carry with you. and how many mags do you have? right now i play with real caps, and usually have 6-10 of them with me. |

I used to have dedicated pouches just for king sized kit kats. HSGI 9mm pouches fit them perfectly
These days I carry mags, a radio, a multitool, and i stuff water bottles into double m4 mag pouches.

TIP:
Take that duct tape and wrap it around one of the pens. Can add about 3 feet without it being cumbersome. X2 on the Shaprie. They are invaluable for marking kit and general tomfoolery

I carry nothing I don't need for play so apart from mags I have a Radio pouch, an admin pouch to put random stuff, and one electrical glowstick attached with paracord.
I got rid of the noisy dump-pouch, unless I put some water in it, and just replace mags in their repective pouches. I also stopped using the silly hydration kit cause it's not really necessary for playing airsoft, opening a bottle is tactical enough. all the rest is 'stuff' (loose ammo, food, books, knitting kit, stuffed animals, slippers ) and stays in the pack at the respawn...

With the molle vest i i have 10 mags, a radio pouch and a canteen pouch. I like to keep it simple usually. I have a webbing set that has a canteen pouch and a dump pouch. Still looking into getting a few mag pouches for it.

4 mags (3 low & 1 mid cap most the time but sometimes just 4 low caps)
Since my magazines are so long and take up all my molle most the time on my vest and rig, I opted for a molle belt to put all my other pouches on. I find it actually quite convient, as now I am not switching gear from vest to vest all the time. I can just strap on the belt and go with any vest I want Anys I got - Utility pouch for wallet, cellphone, small parts/tools, maps if needed for a game, etc. - Pistol Mag pouch (got it for free so I put my bb loader in it) - Pouch a water bottle or silencer (when not in use) - Radio pouch - Strobe light stick thinger - Flashlight & pouch |

For work I have a TT MAV(bought it myself) and the standard tac vest(added my own pouches to it), etc
From what I remember, this is what I have in my rig. What I have in it is generally the same for FIBUA type stuff or out in the woods, may add or remove certain things depending on whats going on. etc 6x C7/C8 Mags 1x Smoke 1x Frag Radio(if I have a PRR/148/152) 1x Rite in the Rain pad mini FMP with pencil, sharpie and highlighter surefire G2 flash light IFAK(Isreali Dressings, TQ, etc) 2x carabeaners(load bearing) tied to each other with a rope thing we got at work, forget what its called but it's really strong stuff - purpose is to attach to your belt and other end goes to wounded pers, and you drag them that way) If I have a GPS ie DAGR I'd carry that as well latex gloves cut piece of VS17 panel IR Glowstick with paracord tied to it(IR Buzzsaw), and 2-3 visible and another IR chemlight compass zap tie handcuffs 3L Camelbak Thermobak(carried on me when not wearing a pack) Multitool in it's pouch attached to belt loop on pants via d-ring. Have a couple feet of guntape wrapped around the pouch. On helmet is NVG mount and IR Strobe Try to keep what you have on your rig just for fighting out of whatever mission essential kit you may need, everything else goes into a backpack, ie water, food, NVG(some guys keep this on their rig), manpack radio(if your the Signaller)extra ammo, grenades, first aid kit, batteries, etc Last edited by -Skeletor-; January 4th, 2011 at 19:56.. |

Utility pouch on rig - carry tools extra batteries, a snack or two, flashlight, glow sticks x 10 lol, length of paracord, 6 ft length of duck tape wrapped around old playing card- also carry a second one in my IFAK/SK pouch, a lighter and so and so forth.. On/in the bib of my RRV I have three more glow sticks/pen and two sharpies in the PALS loops. For now a pad of paper in the bib internal pouch, but will probably put other items in there later on. I need to find two decent multi-tools too... I also carry a small immediate survival kit with thermal blanket, lighter, matches (always carry backup of immediate items) knife, paracord etc.. In backpack (usually left at spawn or safe area, but I am in the market for a good backpack at the moment to carry with me on big games) I have extra warm clothes, toque, mits, wool socks, light sweater poncho (this thing folds up stupid small) larger trauma kit (compression bandages, trauma pads, gauze rolls/pads of many different sizes, shears, tweezers, 10 pairs of non latex gloves, glow sticks, bottle of antiseptic fluid, thermal blanket, several splints, tape, suitor strips ...), loose bags of bb's, food/water, compas, bigger knife and other items..

Trying a new setup lately...I might not pack everything everytime, but it's the core stuff that I usually take (since I'm too lazy to unpack it all it tends to stay where I pack it).
in the pockets of my clothes (pants/shirt/jacket) I'll usually have - knife - lighter/etc.. - compass - maps - wallet/keys 1st line (from front-right-back-left) - 1 pistol mag horizontal - pistol in serpa - utility pouch with first aid, kill rag, maps - leatherman wave - dump pouch (in middle of back now...need to move it more to the left) - rubber knife in sheath - 2 pistol mag pouch - double M4 mag pouch 2nd line - Blackhawk RRV with assorted pouches (left to right) - medic pouch for snacks/odds and ends, knife, flashlight, GPS - radio pouch + radio + mic + earbud - 3 x double M4 pouches - medic pouch...usually holds reloading stuff if the game calls for that, or else it'll hold snacks/odds and ends, hydration or grenades 3rd line - backpack - 2L hydration - rain poncho/jacket - kukuri (whatever that wavy machete thing is called) - reloading stuff (bbs/loader/gas) - spare batts for comms/RDS - tool kit - first aid, meds (antihistimines) - snacks - glow sticks - zip ties - pens/paper - paracord - unjamming rod - other stuff (anti-fog, NVG, optics, tape, etc....) - might have mag pouches MOLLE'd onto it - might have spare mags (depends on the game) Ditching the pack it's actually not too bad re. weight/bulk. First line only is really light and quick and typically enough for really quick CQB sets. Typically need more hydration for a long all day non-stop sim though...so I've got to figure that out. Saw a nice side pouch for that I could fit to the backpack/RRV to hold a nalgene bottle or two...that'd probably do the trick. |

i would like to get a back pack for when i play larger/longer games or sims, but right now i don't need one. mags are refilled at the spawn, water is there too, i keep a first aid kit in my jeep, and its pretty comfortable to sleep in if need be. i see people with these nice loadouts, and i like the look. so i was wondering what they carry. i had thought about getting some pouches and filling them with paper. but quickly dropped that idea!
what yous got... pics are welcome to. i like to sneak around, would love to hear from scouts, recces, snipers, stuff like that. |
