Starting in QC...
Well finally I am here...
Ive started plaiyng airsoft in Spain, in 2009, i use to play every weekend there. I just moved to QC, and now I have some questions to know about rules over here. For example, in Madrid they have rules about FPS on the battlefield. 350fps Maximum for, "fusilier" "rifleman" for example, M4, Aks, etc, etc... 400fps Backup, like m249, mk1 mk2 paratrooper... 500fps MAX, for sniping. Also they have rules about distance for example you cant shoot someone if the distance is under 10m, you should use pistol for this distance, and some times under 5m you shouldnt shot you just say "you are dead... but the last one is just a cortesy rule. Right now i have a CELCIUS M4, i didnt have problem to enter the replica by peaces in the country (lucky me cause all the people told me DONT DO THAT, but is my celcius!!!) and some extra equipment, vests, etc, etc... I think is enough to start here i just have 2 buy a secondary weapon and thats it. Also i need a recomendation on bbs, i use to use, G&G 0,25 bio balls or King arms same weight. Well I am really open to any advices. Sorry about my english is really bad, and my french is worst... i will learn more (i hope). Right now i am in my parents house in QC for some days and then i will move to Montreal 2 work and study there. Thanks for all guys see you on the BF. |

^^^ This. BBBastards are superior and local, and supporting local is always the best :P
You will find that the 2 rules you mentioned are the same here in Canada. We tend to use an ENERGY limit over the FPS limit though, always reference to FPS on 0.2g BBs. the max FPS on 0.2g and the minimum distances will vary depending on the field and host, so just take note in the OP details in the planning thread. Something you may not be aware of on here is the age verification system, this is necessary to access our buy and sell boards as well as out list of retailers. You can find information on this in the FAQs : http://www.airsoftcanada.com/forumdisplay.php?f=21 Also included in the FAQs is information about what NOT to buy from outside Canada - I suggest this be one of your first reads. One thing you will find on ASC is that we are not here to spoonfeed you. Please show some initiative and research topics on your own, pretty much any question you can think of has been asked before, so please use the search function up top Welcome to Canada and welcome to ASC. Enjoy your stay, be safe, and have fun!

What I said about reading was not in response to your questions, it was a cautionary warning about the nature of the users on ASC.

In most Quebec fields limits are:
Outdoor field AEG/GBB - 400FPS with .20g Sniper - 450FPS with .20g (Sometimes 500FPS if you are a certified sniper) Indoor game AEG/GBB 350fps with .20g Sniper -Depends usually350 sometimes 400FPS with .20g Ohhh yeah +1 for BB Bastards! Last edited by flack; December 3rd, 2010 at 15:49.. |

In Montreal there's games every 2-3 of weeks at an indoor place (Action 500); even if you don't play I usually can stop by to sell BBs to those who need em (Bastards) as well as do Age Verifications. Although with the holidays approaching, I'm not sure there'll be a game in the coming weeks.
Otherwise I'll be organizing an ASC Christmas/New Years supper/beer night out in the first weeks of January: it'll be a good occasion to come out and meet players, socialize, and get to talk about how we do things here. Keep an eye on the Quebec games & events section.

Go to Surplus pont rouge and see recon1. He'll AV you, if you're 18.

You should stay in Quebec, it's much better :P (I'm from Beauport, just next to Charlebourg, but currently studying in the Montreal area).
As Deadpool said, go to Surplus Pont-Rouge (Google Maps link here). Most of their staff are airsofters, and R3CON1 is an Age Verifier for AirsoftCanada and FAQc (which is the local Quebec city airsoft group). So make sure R3CON1 confirms your age (have 2 ID cards with you).
