crossman ak-74 spetznaz

i just picked this gun up, its the crossman "r76," and aside from some test firing, sighting in the red-dot, and just plain shooting it for giggles around the house, i havent used it yet. it seems like a good gun, but i was hoping for some insight into what to look for from someone with experience with it. thanks!

Keep in mind we're not trying to be mean or anything but it is a POS compared to what most active players that I play with use.

It's probably one of the better ones from Crosman but still it's like comparing shit and not so smelly shit. It's still shit at the end of the day. The only one that I'd honestly ever buy is the TM M3 clone they have (the S34P) and the other CO2 one they have that apparently isn't that bad either.

The best advice I can give you, either return it tell em "it wasn't exactly what you were looking for" or something or just play with it till it breaks and then toss it in the garbage, it's honestly not worth it to try and repair unless you want to try and figure out how things work but still it's not worth the time and effort to repair especially since it uses a lot of proprietary parts.

We don't really use those kind of guns.

We use full black/full metal guns, with metal gearboxes and gears.

Ignore the "herp plastic bad" types. Your biggest problem with the 76 will be the stock. It's pot metal, and the ring that holds it to on the left side snapped in half on mine.

If the gearbox and gears are plastic, then yes, it's bad.

well it is an "AEG" (This is a subjective and highly optimistic description since the great majority of ASC considers this to be a clear crapsoft which translates as a cheap/crappy design) ;however, it is renown for its remarkable degree in terms of lack of quality i I.E. Crossman is pretty much the lowest it can get.

your best bet is to get AGED-verified - save a bit more and then for about 300$, you can get a better build and more reliable AKMS which will be a wiser investment.

The money could have gone to serve a better purpose as this item is not known for its outstanding quality. It may function for its intended purpose but its performance cannot really be compared to that of actual airsoft guns.

That almost sounds like a fortune cookie.

While it is a crap gun i own 2 that are two years old and still going, they wont give u the distance or accuracy of a higher end Aeg but they arent a bad starter gun for small private games
