WE hi capa trigger.

Just got a new WE hicapa and it fires nice, but it's a hard trigger pull and I bought it specifically so I could have a gun that cycles it's slide fast that I could pump out double and triple taps without much effort.

Is there any way to make the trigger more sensitive. It's a short pull, but you have to put a lot of force, and let off the trigger completely before you can do a second shot.

new hammer group from Illusion will help, thats the hammer, sear, hammer strut, and another piece. Also modification to the trigger stirrup will help, but you'll need to know exactly what you're doing. Illusion also has one for sale that adjusts trigger pull length.

Or you can pull the right and center leaf prongs back a little.

It sounds like your trigger loop isn't pushing the hammer sear far enough. If you have to pull hard, I'm guessing that either the trigger is bottoming in the frame opening or the rear bow of the loop is bottoming at the beavertail just as the sear gets close to releasing. If wiggling the trigger around at full pull gets the hammer to release, then it's very likely that the rear bow needs to be bent rearwards a bit.

I wouldn't say it's unreasonably hard, but it requires a substantial squeeze to release the sear. The gun is very responsive, and I have a feeling that this is mostly due to it being fresh out of the box.

I'm looking to have it light enough so a good tap of the finger is enough to set it off. I've heard that messing with the prongs could compromise the grip safety.

I find myself comparing it to other pistols which had longer pulls, but you never felt any real resistance from the sear itself. Should I assume it's normal for 1911s.

Cycling the frame in my hand, I can feel it starting to loosen a bit.
