are G&G and Cyma m14 interchangeable to some extent?

My friend's m14 was in a car accident, and since his friend was driving, he paid for the car and the airsoft gun. Anyways, if I can get it for a decent price, I'm thinking of trying to swap some parts between my m14 and his broken one (I think the stock snapped). Are at least some/most parts interchangeable, or would it be a waste of time?

Also, I'm having trouble finding a barrel upgrade in the m14 cut, so I'm wondering if the JBU 6.01 is a decent barrel, whether the stock cyma is good enough, or whether I really really need to spend the 65$ on the prommy? I did also see the edgi barrels were ~70$, so I guess that is an option as well, but they are almost double the price of the madbull, jbu etc barrels.
