Comparison of ration packs
The NY Times has an interactive article on 15 nation's military rations;

Anyone else find it ironic that the article name is "A taste of home..." and the first item on the British menu is lamb curry?

Very interesting. If I'm from Sweden/Norway you can bet I am trying to swap out for another one lol

Just as bad for the Canadian one, "Swiss Steak"! I mean c'mon they're not even part of NATO they're neutral!

The Canadian one actually seems like it would be pretty good.
That and Germany.

Personally I think our Canadian rations are quite good. Back in my days of army cadets in the 80s, I thought they were quite good. And the ones I've had in recent years have all been quite tasty too. I'd have no problem eating them for extended periods.

I ate the Canadian ones all weekend at OP: Last Call and they have been quite good. Jeroon's going to hate me but I think the spaghetti and meatballs have been the best so far.

A note, the Brit ration is only showing one portion of the entire package; it comes as a "1 day" ration, with tons of biscuits and extras. Because of this you can mix everything up and get a little more creative than with a ration that is just for one meal. I absolutely loved trying out Brit rations overseas and they are great, but really it's all good, it's food.

British rations look the best to me. Curry and a little bottle of Tabasco? Sold.
