TM MK23 feeding issue

OK so I picked up a TM MK23 tonight and i know nothing about it, but when I fire it, it will not feed consistently, it can shoot 10 times in a row then dry fire 5 times, its totally random, and does it with all the mags, nothing looks broken inside and its relatively new as well, anybody have experience with the TM MK23?

... If you've managed to screw up a NBB.. you should stay FAR away from any airsoft gun.

Check the hop-up rubber,

Check the magazine to see if the BB path is clean of debris, check to see if the mag spring functions normally.

clean the gun.
are you using propane or duster?
remove the slide and check the internals for any wear and tear, debris and such

i cannot stress the cleaning part though

i got it like this, i didnt break it, theres no wear on hte inside of hte gun, the hopup is fine
it seems to work better if i rapidly fire it than if i fire slowly, which seems odd
everything is very clean and new looking

pictures of the operating mechanism and mags would help.

also are you using duster or propane? the gun was built for duster....

gas being used would have nothing to do with feeding...
but propane, just FYI

Had the same problem a while ago with the same gun. Lube the feed path on the mag with oil and a q-tip.

nope. made no difference, the mag followers movement is smoothe anyways

I had the same problem with my Army R17. Turned out to be just the bad batch of Madbull bb's I was using.

I have a TM MK23. It's been full of FR sand and hasn't misfired.

As a sidenote, I have used only LP with the TM MK23 mags and they haven't leaked yet either.

How old is the bag? I love bastards, but the .28's recently have been nothing but trouble for me. Throw some bastard .2's in it and see what happens.

Try a different bag of bb's.

It wouldn't hurt and it rules out one obvious thing.

well ive tried my bag of .28s, and then reused some old BBs from my catch box, same result, but i have no other new bags of BBs to test unless i use my grenade .12s...

I tried with some different BBs, same result, slow firing misfeeds, rapid firing works properly, I am officially baffled...

Substituting potentially bad bb's with obviously bad bb's does not rule out the fact that the bb's are fucking bad.

You could replace every part in the gun with brand new parts from the factory in Tokyo, and the gun won't shoot because you're running bad ammunition through it.

1.Take a break.

2.Stop feeding the poor gun crap.

3.Buy / Borrow a new bag of premium bb's.

4.Save yourself a headache.
