Shoot a GBB pistol upside down/sideways without damage?
I've been trying to find a straight-forward answer to this, but haven't been able to do so. I found one particular thread stating that their airsoft pistol's slide got completely blown off when it was used SIDEWAYS (though this may have been quite exaggerated).
I'm curious as to whether it's safe to shoot an airsoft GBB pistol upside down or even sideways safely and without causing any damage to the parts? I'm curious as the CAR shooting system/stance requires you to hold your gun (pretty much almost) sideways. Much thanks |

Can't fix my own guns. Willing to fix yours.

bad for the gun and the hopup sends the BBs sideways

The only position that Ive read about in Center Axis Relock that requires you to hold your gun even the slightest bit sideways would be the Apogee stance and even then you only tilt the pistol slightly inwards.
CAR apogee as shown in this video. YouTube- Basic Pistol Engagement As stated above the BB would spin off inaccurately due to the hopup after some distance. Probably not the greatest for the pistol either.

If you ever hold your gbb sideways while shooting at a game, all other players are obligated to slap you.

and upside down would be bad as you wuld dump liquid propane into the blowback unit and nozzle making these items super cold and fragile.

I prefer the 6mm bukake up close and personal for stupidity moments like a gang and druglord themed game.
To the OP, GBB gas guns are not design to be shot sideways or upside down due to the hop up design and the gas we use Last edited by wildcard; August 13th, 2010 at 10:49.. |

I wouldn't go more than a 45 degree angle, and even then only when I'm peeking out of a corner.
But I'm interested in seeing a video of someone trying to fire a GBB upside down... try it out.

It's a pistol, you shouldn't have to be rotating your short/tiny little gun to be doing special maneuvers, no? |

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

You can do both, but 1-2 shots max, all the gas will vent out

Well the main reason I'm asking this is because there's a few moves in the CAR system that have you holding the gun upside-down even.
Dunno how professional this guy is (YouTube- Close Quarters Tactics), but that video depicts what I'm talking about. Thoughts? |
