china brass guard mask.

Bought it from ebaybanned. They couldn't possibly screw up a metal mesh mask... right? RIGHT?????
Pros: works the same as the russian one. Stops a BB just fine, my camera is fucked so no pics, but it made a very small dent with .40g coming out of a mildly upgraded 5.1 hicapa. Works well for asians. The straps are minimal, but functional with velcro on the back. Can bend to fit your own face to a certain extent.
Cons: obviously someone went "let's make this not only as a copy; but exclusively for asians!" So the nose portion is tiny, and it squishes mine (I'm chinese too; derp). The straps, instead of being mounted on the middle of the rear portion, is mounted on the highest corner. You can't wear glasses, but can wear goggles over them. The top edge of the mask rides pretty close to my eyes, and it feels incredibly weird; although not uncomfortable.

For 17 bucks, I definitely think it's worth it, because I think the russian stalker mask (the closest comparison) is massively overpriced for what it is.
I need a bigger nose portion, because it actually hurts.
If you have the purist aryan face, then maybe consider getting the russian one. Or spend hours trying to bend this one to fit you.

Just to update.... Since I also bought a China mask....

I also got one that is slightly different.... It seems to be the wide version, and the benefit is they put velcro on the bottom, and two sets of velcro straps to adjust onto your head at two points... (One set straps behind your neck, the other on the top/upper back end of your head.

The mask presses against my mouth.
I did bend it a bit in the mouth region, and I could bend it a bit more, so it's not too bad.
Only problem is when wearing this mask, since it is up so close, it takes some effort, and a little bit uncomfortable to open your mouth wide if you want to shout or something :P Normal talking should be ok...

What if you're Asian and have a big nose AND wear glasses?

I just tested my china mesh mask i got off of ebay @ point blank. 6 shots fired @ 350 FPS .2g bbs results -> only small visible dents visible, and nothing penetrated. my thumbs up to the product.

Yeah, but you likely fogged a lot more than you will usually see due to colder temperature....

My JT goggles are cheap too, so it fogged, *it's not even using thermal lenses lol*

I am going to use some ACM Mesh goggles where allowed, and paintball goggles when required...

I ordered one of those, I'll have to see if it is as strong as the mesh from Velocity Arms lol...

What goggles were you using? From my experience, if you have decent lenses, you shouldnt fog up. My brother has a pair JTs with thermal lenses for a year. Never fogged up in the rain, the sun, or indoors.

The one in my pic is JT Elite with single lense, I didn't buy thermal lense, and it fogged with dual fans on at around -1 degrees outdoor. Glasses didn't fog much here, but my goggles fogged like crazy.

My Empire Event Avatar with thermal lenses holds up well for a few hours, and fogs in the end. (Either my glasses or the goggles will fog up)

It should technically fog easier during winter/low temperatures though anyways...

I have JT spectra goggles with a thermal lens and they never fog on me. The thermal lens is well worth the $25, no fans required.

There are companies that exist that allow a user to purchase products with prescription. For the most part these are simply RX inserts that one installs in a pair of goggles.
