If you do buy some, use them for target practice. The consequence of getting caught using them on banned fields are to great.

Depends completely on the field owner/hosts.

Some fields have silica bb's only being used by certified snipers example.
Personally I really love the product, I think the flight path you get from one of the silica bb's is amazing.

However that being said, the physical damage caused by the silica round to equipment can be costly. Out of respect for players equipment (surefires, expensive optics, etc) for my games, it isn't worth the risk.

This is the bottom line on them...regardless of how well they may/may not shoot...how much they will/won't damage things....etc.

The field owner has the last say, the host sets the rules/limits/conditions.

If they allow it...then it's allowed. If not...then not.

If it's not specified ('cause it's really a lot of stuff for a host to post up every if/then/but/maybe...) ASK the host and/or post your question to the game thread.

ya i bought about 60bucks worth of em and started seeing some post about banning them and i was thinking ah **** but beens as i would like to get a good sniper(once av) i dont think it will be much of an issue cause 100bucks worth of bbbastard rounds work good too. still can beat the silica rounds for accuracy dead strait shooting with a stock aeg(scoped though)
