g&g m4 not shooting

Hey, so i have a g&g m4 carbine and i have done some upgrades to it put a magnum motor in and bushings and shims also gears are upgraded. when i shoot it in semi it worked fine then when i put it on full it made a grinding sound (sounded like clicking really fast) so i opened up the mechbox and we ended up replaceing the oring to the cylinder head and replacing the spring to a 90. no i put it back together and the first thing that happened was it jammed. fixed the jam then continued to test fire and now it will not shoot a bb on semi or full.it did not sound like there was any resistance from the mechbox then when i pulled the top half of the receiver off and test fired it made a grinding noise again. i am at a lose someone please help!

It is hard to say without getting the exact info needed to rule out certain things. There are many posibilities:

first make sure you have the motor pushed in enough to make good gear contact.

Then it could be the back tooth broken from the piston, the gears will just free spool if the back of the piston is snapped off.

Make sure tappet plate spring is working properly or gun will not feed.

the motor is seated properly at the proper height and still no success. all the teeth on the piston are there and everything looks normal.

Then I am not sure about the grinding noise, but the misfeeding could still be the tappet spring or the hop-up spring.

Check all the gears, you might have one that is missing a tooth, my old G&G M4 did that same thing, Some shots it would work but it was grinding on auto, When I took it apart it was hard to see but sure enough it was getting hooked up on the striped gear. You may have a different problem but that fixed mine.

What model is your G&G M4? I owned a GR16 Plastica with the 10.5" barrel, and I had nothing but problems with it. It wouldn't shoot, and the wires were extremely brittle. I'd suggest getting a JG mechbox as that's what I did, and I haven't run into any problems yet. The only thing you need to watch for is the stock G&G hop-up will fit extremely tight to the JG mechbox, so it's recommended that you slap an empty mag in the lower and attach the hop-up/barrel assembly first before sliding the upper receiver on, or the hop-up won't fit correctly.
