KA Mags and Vest question

I'm looking at getting these King Arms mags so far I've heard good things looking to see what others think. Good? Bad? Any issues?

http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...roducts_id=879

And I'm looking at getting this vest as a starter, or should I go with something more pricier? Anyone have this vest? Good? Bad? Or should I get something else?

http://airsoftdepot.ca/catalog/produ...roducts_id=285

Thanks for the help!

The 2 are the same links :P

But I do have Metal KA in pack of 5s, so far so good. They are fussy in winter tho.

wrong link for the mags

for the vest... Looks light and nice.. :P... I actually want one...

But usually, the gear form Huang is good quality,it will last if you take care of it... (It's not china crap dont worry!

PS: if you're only a casual /non-hardcore airsofter, you wont need real or super expensive gear....

hehe... most ppl will tell you to get Pantac of Real gear... but personally... I'm not a hardcore dude... so no need to spend extra money... (even though I have a Pantac Ciras... :S... but its 10 years old... (I'm second owner, and got a good deal for it...so....meh...))

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PS: For any midcaps/realcap mags, you might experience some bbs jamming inside the mags the first time you load it.... Dont worry, it happens to everybody...

It's caused by the little seam lines in the plastic bb feed ramp/rail/guide inside the mag...

Best way to prevent that, is to do somekind of a break in process...

So when you'll receive your mags, (and also to prevent further jamming during a game),

- open your favorite TV show, or a FIFA game,
- take a speedloader and BBs and load your mag, then empty it,
then load it again, then empty it....
- (repeat for each mag, at least 3 to 5 times until it can empty itself without jamming)

After that, you shouldnt experience any BB jaming in your midcaps!

PS: if it jams, just give it a little tap on the sides...

Hope it helps

Paul

If you're planning on playing regularly, try getting a reputable brand like Pantac for your gear. They make the same carrier (MBSS), and you can find them on various websites (Redwolf for example).

Ok awesome thanks for the heads up Gunny.

Ye I'm probably playing once a week maybe sometimes twice. So I guess a higher end vest is a better idea? I'll look into it.

Ok well I found two vests that will fit my needs and need some help picking between the two. The reason I would go with OD is because it can fit with almost any BDU. Tan because it will go really well with MARPAT which is what my team uses.

What do you guys think?

Just a heads up that vest isnt of the best quality. The threading for the molle webbing is just stitched on without any industrial threading and came come loose and unthread itself very easily. (Also happens with condor molle vests). Also it doesnt look very rigid or robust so with the pouches weighing it down on the front, it may feel very un even and front heavy.

The King arms mags are the best bang and best quality for your buck. i had king arms mags for my M16, and they fed flawlessly. They were, as well, very sturdy and you will be fooled by the feel of the plastic. They do NOT feel cheap AT ALL. Most of the time they are more durable than most metal m4 mags. They are very worth it.

I have a tan plate carrier and im going for a 2 color vest, with the TAN base and doing OD pouches. Good way to break up the color and also looks awesome.

Ok what is a vest that you recommend then? I don't really want to go over $250 / $200 for a vest.

Those are the metal version magazines btw .

Does that actually help at all or just the style you prefer?

it all comes to personal preference... I like both actually, they look cool... and Pantac is definitely better... (Huang is OK, but Pantac is )

Pantac has triple stitching, while Huang stuff only has single stitching... (I'll let you guess which one is more durable...(Hint: my Pantac vest is 10 years old...and still strong! ))

Also... get Coyote Brown (CB) it matches better with other camo (like Multicam, Marpat, ...) ... while OD is for Green stuff only... :S
