AK Wood + RealSword pistolgrip compatability?
Can someone tell me what this type of fore grip is called?
Also, does anyone have a good guide for stripping and staining AK grips with a high gloss polish? I want some darker wood. Anyone know about RS pistolgrip compatibility? |

That's a little longer than a 74U in the front end.
More like an AK-102/104/105, etc Last edited by Styrak; June 27th, 2010 at 00:43.. |

Fairly bigger then a 74u. I believe its a 102.
Also i believe that is a custom made foregrip. Iv seen some of those around but most of them were made by hand. Also as i said in the AK Media forum. Sand down the previous stain and wear a mask. The stain contains lead so you dont want to breathe that in. Steps: 1. Sand down grips 2. Wipe down grips with cloth 3. Pre Stain 4. Wipe down with cloth once dry 5. Apply Stain coat 6. Wipe down with cloth once dry 7. Repeat Step 5 and 6 Continue staining til your desire darkness is reached.

The handguards are AKMS/U type
http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/accessori...-wood-kit.html Ask Amos, it was his AK at one point. RS pistol grips are of course smaller in size by a fair bit. If you get a chance to see the difference in picture or person, you can usually tell right away.
