TAN IBH and ProArms goggles (From EhobbyAsia)
Just wondering if anybody knows of any further information on this helmet?
Like what the actual company brand helmet this is? Im looking for some sort of head gear and thought this might look okay with my multicam BDU's and tan plate carrier. Also if someone could suggest an alternative to headgear, that'd be great as well. http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/ea-gear-i...mount-tan.html Also these goggles here http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/pro-arms-...lens-od-1.html They look exactly like arena flakjaks with the emblem on the front and everything.. the reason im looking for goggles is that i understand most fields do not allow goggles like snowboarding goggles? I have tested them from point blank with 340 FPS AEG and they stood up with no dents or see-able marks on the lense. Im just wondering if these 'pro arms' would actually be up to par and allowed at events? Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction on these two things, that'd be great. |

The EA rebrands are usually ACM products (what you'd find on EB). Its being described as ABS, if that's the case I'd pay a bit more and get one that's fiberglass.
The goggles would probably be allowed, I'm guessing they're polycarb lenses; however they aren't ballistically rated (ANSI, MIL-STD). 340fps doesn't mean much considering the CQB limits in most places is 350 and outdoor limits is usually 400, and above 400 when dealing with sniper rifles. They "might" be okay, but do you really want to risk finding out the hard way they weren't?

Well when i did test them, i had the muzzle about 3 cm away from the lens. True that..
I had also seen these G&P Goggles.. http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/gandp-spe...ggle-sand.html They seam like a better build quality? |

One of the Dragons bought a pair of ESS clones which we put through the 400 FPS "test" from 6ft the other week. The goggle lens had one dent and a small crack after putting about 10 rounds to it. Now he is hoping that the real ballistically rated ESS lenses will fit to replace the china crap that came in his mail.

Ahh. True. Thanks for the input.
Can anybody spoon feed me to a site which has ballistic rated goggles? (ones that would fit over glasses too.) |
