I own a similar model and I use it with a Puxing 888 and a Puxing 777. I got a slight improvement over the stock antennas.

It is an ok antenna. I have used it before myself and it works fine. If you use UHF you can always get your antenna longer up by using a cable with antenna connected to it so that it comes up a bit more instead of having it in your vest and you blocking it with your body.
