Whats with clear body parts on guns?

Full black guns are more aesthetically pleasing and obviously pricier - but what is the reason for the clear parts?

Im looking into ordering a gun online at buyairsoft.ca and they only have the gun im looking for in the regular model with some clear parts on it.

Can these clear parts be painted over? Or am i missing something here.

Guns with clear receivers are imitation firearms and may be transfered without restriction.

Guns with full metal or opaque receivers may be classed as replica firearms and can not be sold legally.. unless they have been tested and registered on the Firearms registry Tables as unregulated firearms.

Wow ok, that is pretty common sense actually

Im guessing painting over it would be a big no no as well.

FrakieCees,

I would add that yes, clear parts can be painted, but there's of course a way to do it. Personally, i'm not a big fan of painting over an original part, unless you REALLY know your way through. Just like a car. If you don't entirely know what you're doing, you're highly risking fucking up the appearance even more then if it stayed clear.

If i was you (in fact i have been in your situation), i would get Age Verified on ASC, which will give you access to the AV retailer and classifieds section, and you would most likely find exactly what you're looking for there. Thats exactly what i did. The AV process is well worth it.

Check the FAQs for that.
