Patrol belt plus chest rig

I currently run around with a patrol belt and hydration pack. I'm now considering getting some sort of rig so that I can have more stuff that is easily accessible. MOLLE would be nice, but isn't entirely necessary. And yes, I have AR mags (if you're thinking of something that is non-modular-something-something).

A few options come to mind of vests and chest rigs and plate carriers and such... any ideas of what rides high enough that it won't cover up my MOLLE patrol belt, as well as something that won't make my backpack pop out too much (i.e. I'd prefer no back plate)?

Yup... links or pictures would be nice, as I'm sure you can tell by now that I have basically no idea of what I'm talking about here.

Check out Tactical Tailor's MAV line. I like the mini-MAV, its like a molle chicom.

Yep, i've got four g3 mag pouches on mine. Works great, quick detach and easy to put on, takes up almost no room and doesn't interfere with anything. I love it!

I'll probably get this one... if only I could figure out what the real (not Condor-crap) gear this is a repro of. Yeah... I'm none too fond of Condor, though I may end up taking it if I can't find anything better.

Dante, reason being for a different chest platform was the slightly larger MOLLE real estate on this one. Plus the bungee'd integral mag pouches allow for storage of my radio and kill rag, as well...

Best bet would be the Tactical Tailor MAV that Disco mentioned + X Harness for something similar to that.

And of course, you could just get the Mini MAV + X Harness

Oooh, hey this one interests me... I guess I didn't google stuff hard enough lol. http://www.tacticaltailor.com/mavvestbody1piece.aspx

X-Harness is just overkill, lol. Backpack takes care of that storage space.

You can't attach the X harness to the mini MAV, but it will work fine with the regular one. You can also put a radio pouch on the x harness itself rather than wasting mag space on the MAV.

What's wrong with condor? Got 2 vests from them ( Chest rig/ Operator PC), and they are great.

The Mav2 is what I use. Freaking great, I can run and move freely in it. I would recommend the X harness. It takes the strain of the shoulders. Keep an eye on ebay, I got one of these with the X harness and pouches for $80 US.

You could conciser running an RRV as well, they don't come stock with a backplate but have that option should you choose to run one in the future, it'll give you a bit more real estate.

However, that may be cutting it close for interfering with the belt, so;
a Sped Ops MOUT rig:

I was rockin' one of these for a little while, really comfy, can hold 8AR mags and molle to boot

Juicy. That second rig you posted could be a take on the SKD/Eagle All-Molle chest rig.

Watching this topic with interest. Might go along that line too.

I run an Eagle Universal Chest Rig (4X double M4 mag pouches, 4 pistol pouches, 2X utility pouches, and one internal map pouch) with a blast belt.
No interference with the blast belt and stuff on the blast belt.

Yep, I run it with a TT molle belt and there's loads of space between the two, they don't interfere with each other at all.
