Question KWA M11A1 Gas Capacity?

I recently purchased a KWA MAC 11. Question: Does anyone know how long a full chamber of Green Gas should last? I can barely get through a clip of BBs before having to fill up again. And on full-auto...forget it, it lasts seconds! It's brand new, I don't think it's leaking, maybe discharging too much gas while shooting? Any thoughts...?

It depends on the ambient temperature to a large degree, if it's around 10 degrees (centigrade) i wouldn't be suprised you couldn't make it through a _magazine_ of bb's on full auto (which is more 'wasteful' in terms of gas)

but on semi, you should last a full _magazine_..

how many shots per second are you firing while testing? if you're 'spamming the trigger'
then that would also explain the poor performance.

read up on the 'Ideal gas law' to understand the thermodynamics involved, but to put it simply,
warm the _magazine_ or space out your shots to conserve the gas..

How long are you filling the magazine? I fill my pistol mags until they vent propane. I only ask because having used the KWA M11 I was able to get a full mag off in full auto and still have gas left over for another mag. And at 10 degrees you should be able to use full auto and have enough to empty the mag.

You can't fill them until they vent because they don't vent, unlike TM mags.

I can usually get a full mag fired on a full auto dump. However, it's going to be pretty low on gas near the end and it might start to struggle.

On semi, with spaced out shots, you could realistically get two mags of BBs.

My M11 is really fun. I just wish it had at least SOME blowback.

How long are you filling for? On a nearly empty mag, I can fill for 10-12 seconds before I can't hear the gas going in anymore.

What do you mean exactly? It's a GBB.

The M11's don't kick that much.

Well that's because it fires from an open bolt.

No, it's because the bolt is paperweight and a .380 isn't coming out the front at
a 1000fps.

I read in some forum that it takes about 120 BB's with one fill with green gas. I changed my propane today, and I was about getting 90 BB's per fill in about 25 seconds count.

Yeah. That's the issue.

I meant recoil, not blowback.
