New ECHO1 E90 gearbox problem

Hey guy,

Need some help. I order a brand new E90 gearbox from airsoft gi.
Anyway using a normal 9.6v 1100 batteries and hook it up with the gearbox. I notice the wires and the batteries get super hot after trying to shoot it, and also the piston is stuck half way.

My guessing is the batt but no clue....

Thanks,
fumoffu

more likely a gearbox jam - wires probs getting hot because it canny move the gears and the motor is over drawing on the batt

You may have to open this and check the guts. Any of the following can cause this:
  1. Very poor shimming.
  2. A under power motor.
  3. Not enough power in your battery.
  4. Not powerful enough batteries.
  5. Crappy batteries.
  6. spring too strong for motor / gears.
