FLYYE Coyote Brown legitimacy
Does anyone have any gear in coyote brown by both Eagle Ind. and Flyye handy? In photos , Flyyes CB seem correct, even darker than Pantacs, so does it blend well with Eagle's milspec CB? Does it have that annoying shine that sometimes shows up in pics?

I'll try to make you a comparison pic tomorrow if anyone doesn't before.
I have AITES, SGS, Propper (from the ILBE), Eagle (various years) and Flyye pouches. To me, it seemed quite darker. than all these companies.

Well I know the guys at warfighter tactical pretty well, they deal alot with coyote brown, and they tell me it's impossible to find 2 people that make the same coyote brown material. And even ordering from the same place, it's rare that they get the same shade twice.
I know from buying many different brands of gear, the shades can be close but they're never dead on. Especially since some people refer to "coyote tan" as "coyote brown" |

Also keep in mind there's two "official" strains of Coyote Brown: Coyote Brown 498 (USMC) and Coyote Brown 499 (SOCOM), and they're slightly different (CB499 is browner). PANTAC's CB (newer versions) is pretty close to Eagle's CB498 (see pic below) but a shade browner. So if FLYYE's is darker, it'll also be darker than Eagle's.
AITES has a lot of SOCOM pouches so be careful when comparing. SDS have at least 3 shades of CB: their original "chocolate milk" kinda CB, a consumer market Coyote Brown (which is more of a Coyote Tan) and made-for-issue ("Specialty Group" items) CB which is reasonably close to CB498. Eagle vs. PANTAC CB:

My SDS are "Speciality Group" pouches.
My AITES... I don't know, they don't have tags. But it's true it varies even with the same manufacturer. I have 2005 Eagle CB pouches, which are significantly different even from the same year (just different month). Overall, my Flyye pouches are a bit darker and greenish than my Eagle, yet still much different than any khaki shade I own.

I found SDS and AITES to be very comparable in shades, however both companies use the outdated gen II MOLLE that doesn't always work on the common gen IV MOLLE used by everyone else.

You'll see that it varies a lot from one pic to the other.
Camera: Canon S5 IS Filtre UV "Portrait" mode CB = Coyte Brown CT = Coyote Tan Items list (Those with ** are/were issued to Marine Corps units) A. **Propper CB: ILBE Assault Pack (note the 2 different colors on the pack) B. Flyye CB: IFAK pouch C. EBairsoft CB: Double mag pouch (as found in their CIRAS) D. **Eagle Industries CB (12/2007): Slung weapons belt E. **American Apparel MARPAT boonie hat (the pattern's brown is supposedly Coyote Brown) F. **Speciality Group MOLLE II CB: 200 rnds SAW gunner pouch G. Eagle Industries CB (12/2007): 9mm 15rnds mag pouch H. Condor CT: Large GP pouch I. **AITES CB: Flashbang pouch J. ** Source Tactical CB: WXP Hydration pack D and G are both 12/2007 EI products, but the difference in shade is explained by the fact that D has their military color, and G the civilian color. 1. End of the day (approx 16h30, natural light), directly under the sun 2. End of the day (approx 16h30, natural light), in the shadow of a building 3.
