Mags for VFC SCAR-L
Hi,
I recently just received my first gun, a VFC SCAR-L. I'm looking into getting mags for it. Would these be compatible? http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1600 It seems like the mag that came with the gun has a little hump on them whereas the ones depicted do not. Also, since these are mid-caps, would I need a loader? Thanks for the help! GBear |

Those mags will (should) work fine.
Yes, you will need a loader. A large one (looks like a M4 mag) are handy. Airsoftparts.ca sells those too. |

Like this?
http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1404 Okay, I want to be absolutely sure these mags will fit before I actually buy them. |

they'll fit as the SCAR takes stanag mags. whether they feed 100% is a different story. though they should fit fine.

Yup that's the loader.
The mags should fit. But this is airsoft...the only sure thing is that everything is made differently. The magwell of your rifle might be a bit too small/narrow/wide/big. Your mag catch may be set too high/low in the lower receiver. These mags might have their catch hole set a bit high, low. The BB catch on the mag might be a bit too long Any number of things could be off...and it they still might work. Or they might be a bit too far off and they won't without a little tweak here or there. Chances are good that they'll work. The only time you can be sure is when you load it, slap it into your rifle and pull the trigger. |

Oh okay cool! So you would recommend I get these?
Thanks for the prompt responses by the way! |

I test fit some King Arms M4 mags in a VFC SCAR, and they did NOT fit like OEM.

I am running only King Arms 68 round metal mags in my VFC Scar. I had to trim the nose of the BB retainer as can be pretty common with those but otherwise they run no problems.

i just picked up a Scar-L as well and was worried about the same thing, I have test fit the G&G mid cap m4 and they work perfectly but they were a little tight when it comes to getting them out so i read to just scrape off some of the paint on whatever side is tight and it will slide much nicer. i haven't tried to mod the mags but i do know they work and fit

Has any tested out these MAG M4/M16 mags with the SCAR-L?

Also look at the new EMAG mid caps from Magpul PTS. They apparently were designed with the scar and 416s in mind.

LOL okay. Neckroz just told me he uses pmags, so I was looking at those. What retailers carry these? They have fake rounds so I cannot order out of country.
