551 or 552 clone from ebaybanned
I was wondering if anyone has bought this item from them, or a similar product, and could tell me what quality it is. Also any info on what separates the 551 to the 552 except for the length.
cheers

552 version is nice.
The ebbaybanned 552 version quality looks good.
No ghosting with the red reticule, a small amount in NV mode in some light conditions. Takes two aa batteries, easily accessed. Came with removable flip up covers for it. Adjustments for up/right are very easy and accurate. I was worried the up/down would move the focus off to one side...nope...is perfect and centered. I have noticed it also remembers the mode you left it in when you turn it back on. Currently its my favorite optic. |

Why not buy from Huang? He's an ASC retailer. He sells them both. Contact him, plus it has trades. I bought one and it's great.
The 551 is just smaller, and uses cr123a batteries. The 552 Huang sells uses 2 AAA batteries. |

Huang's sights are G&P, but that have the real EOTech trademarks, and cost a bit more as a result. Other than getting a Hurricane, they're as good as they get for EOTech replicas. G&P / Huang ones are the best out there on the cheap end. The only problem is they suffer from poor visibility in bright daylight. The only replica that's easily visible in bright light is the Hurricane, and it's double the price. Not sure what those ebaybanned ones are like, so I can't comment.
I did a comparative review of the Huang and Hurricane 552s a while back. It might give you an idea of what you can expect... http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=71090 Edit: The 552 is longer and takes AA batteries. The 551 is essentially identical, but shorter and takes N-type batteries or button batteries.

I used the eb replica 552 one here this weekend past for our fireteam training day...they were bright and clear the whole day...It was sunny and hot!
I spent the lunch break zeroing it in for a variety of ranges. I was quite happy with it. At some point i WILL make it down to Kelowna for a game...and you are welcome to check it out then for yourself. |
