Ebay Banned CIRAS "Full Quality Version" review.

After much debate, i ordered a CIRA vest from Ebay Banned. I say debate because i had only ordered small AEG parts to date and was worried as to what me experience would be. Also, i like to try gear on before i buy. I got it in the mail yesterday and here's what i found. the link for the vest i got is here. I paid around $140CAD

http://ebaybanned.com/product_info.p...oducts_id=2024

I ordered the black vest because it is rare and i use different camo so black would go with all the pasterns i use. Ask anyone that owns a CIRAS, and they will tell you its useful, comfortable and durable. and from what I'm told, once you own one, you're hooked.

The shipping and box it came in:
Shipping was great and like most of EB stuff, shipping was free. I ordered it on a weekend (Easter weekend to be exact), ad it arrived yesterday. Just over a week in the mail. not bad for over seas. The box was big and a bit heavy and well sealed. When i opened it, the vest was inside and covered in plastic like it would be in a store.

First impressions:
Wow this has some weight to it. Normally you want light gear but not in all cases, weight can mean durable and well constructed. Also, this item was just as pictured.

The Vest:
Having mostly nylon combat gear, i instantly noticed the quality of the nylon. stitching was tight and durable. All parts that were expected were there. Velcro wasn't that cheep stuff that doesn't stay together. The hydration pack was included (no bladder). Over all, great looking and not cheap looking

Pros and extras:
The rifle sling - cool. I knew it was included, but what a great feature.
Now i will explain this as best i can...
There are 2 rows of M4 mag pouches. Meaning there are six double stack M4 pouches (will fit larger mags like G36 mags) on the outside.
Under the "cummerbund" that these are mounted on are 4 more double stack pouches. sorta hidden from the outside. all attached by MOLLE system. Im thinking of mounting my holster in there for extra protection.
Pistol mag pouches and admin pouch is very well done.

Cons:
If you're not familiar with CIRAS system, figuring out the quick release system is a pain. once you get it its a cool feature to have
Also, no med pouch or drop pouch. Not a big deal, would just be nice to have them.

All in all. I'm very happy with it. for the price, it cant be beat. I am actually thinking of getting the OD green one too!. If you're a family guy on a budget like me, this is a great quality vest for a great price.

PM me if you want any more info and thanks for reading

Definitely interested in getting this now! I'd been looking at it for awhile, but was waiting for a bit more feedback, so thanks for that. I wear multicam normally, but from past experience their multicam doesn't sync up so well, so I'm thinking of getting an OD maybe? I really like the look of the Coyote Brown (Khaki?) though.

I think I'll grab one after I get to Korea.

Sorry about the threadjack but i figured i would post the ciras vest that i ordered from ebaybanned to.

This vest is by far the heaviest vest I have ever worn, great construction, well built. I even had one of my teammates drag me from the rescue carry loop on the back of the vest and to my surprise it didnt break....this happened to me with a different vest and the loop broke.

No worries. the more info the better.

I did forget to mention the drag loop... I have heard complaints about it being secured down with velcro. I actually like that feature, you don't want to be in the bush and have that loop catch a branch while you're running to get away

Will this fit tall people? I'm like 6'3", is it adjustable?

I've got one, and it's really adjustable. I can't say for sure, but it probably will fit.
You just have to open the back panel to access the straps.
Being 5'5'', it did fit me fully strapped down, and the difference between the smallest setting and the larget one is big, so you should be able without much problems.

Sounds awesome, I am definately gonna order one in OD. I got the fake multicam from there, was really good quality, just too small for me.

Good review, I like it and just might look into ordering one. I built a sling just like that for my current tac vest, all im lacking is a clip hook just like that one to attach to the gun. Any of you have any ideas where I might pick one up?

Update

So i have fielded this thing a couple of times. I had high expectations due to how it looked and felt out of the box...

And it didn't disappoint! Very comfortable, very useful. Stored a couple of tornadoes in the M4 pouches. Used my camelbak system. No problems what so ever. Im already looking for things to add to it (holster, dump pouch).

I was afraid to hit the dirt once or twice because it looks like it could be a bitch to clean.

If you're on a budget... BUY THIS VEST
my whole team is

Thanks for reading the review folks.
