i have the a&k m249 para it is amasing but verry heavy. it has all metal eccept for the for grip and heat guard. it is verry easily upgradeable and has a poverful motor (when i took the gear box apart to clean it the gears flew twards the magnet in the motor). the only downside is that when it came to my house alot of peices were extremely loose but after tightening every thing this gun is beast i wiered the batery into the box mag and i have a large 9.6 volt batery all i had to do was remove the piece that cliped the hand guard in then moved the wire back through. so im not sure about the star but the a&k m249 is BEAST
