lol i saw the thread when it was new and was about to post something like "as a gundoc you should know" but i didnt...

anyway here is what i do and i NEVER had an issue with the a/r latch

1- put grease on the lower axle

2- put the a/r in the mechbox and pull it to fully compress the spring the apply a very good amount of force down it (to maintain it pulled), while maintainig force on it, place the bevel gear in place. then slowly release pressure on the latch until it stops on the bevel. now just rotate the bevel gear until the latch clicks in one of the bevel's groove... and you should be alright!

Also if you got a crappy Dboys or something like that, change the shell to a good brand it will help you and make your life easier (if you can't fix it with the grease before )

Yea... Buying cheap parts often results in more money being spent.

Just wondering, but you're asking about this, and you're also offering your "gundoc" services to people?
I don't think people want you experimenting on their guns, or working on their guns and not knowing what certain parts do...

Seems kinda like a horse before the cart sort of deal.

you guys all saying stuff like i dont know what it is and crap. which is not true at all, i know what it is, i know what it does, i know how to do it, i was just wondering if it would work without it, because i was running out of time getting my gun ready for a game and it was giving me trouble, i can fix pretty much anything that i have come across in an AEG, but its not from knowledge, its from just being a gear head, i dont know everything about AEGs, but i can still fix anything that you throw my way.
And i usually tell the person, ill fix it, and if i cant, ill pay a high priced gundoc to fix it for him, its sort of a guarentee to make them comfortable, but ive never had to do it yet, i always get it right.

+1000 for a dab of silicon grease. It'll stop the bevel gear from springing out as you hold the spring/cylinder assembly down as well.

dunno if this has been said but I'll say it anyway, if someone said it than please ignore and +1 to whoever said it lol
its not mandatory for full auto, its mandatory is you like using semi in quick succession, you'll need to wait between shots for the piston to return to its resting position.
Anyway it's really not a good idea, but it's an excellent question!

Nice answer, even in full auto if you were to let off the trigger and suddenly pull on it you would likely have the sector gear teeth coming at the piston as it is returning to its original position. You can imagine the colossal damage.

Haha mine is a perfect example, best way I've found is to seat the Anti-R Latch and then hold it down with a small screwdriver and set the other side of the mechbox in place then slip the screwdriver out

yea in the end i used a pair of very fine pliers to hold it in then a pair of hooked tweezers to movie it itno position, but it still popped out like 10 times before i got it in, and then after all that i had the trigger spring pop off >.< but i got it all back together and got a bunch of kills, so all's good
