MAG does a reasonably priced 5 box set of various types of AK74 mags. I have some and they have been fairly reliable. They do black, orange bakalite and waffle (try UNcompany.com).

On the flip side I have also just received some super hi-caps:



There is the 'super banana' Element extended mag, and the 'fat boy' DBoy Quad Stacker type. Both tale 1000 BBs.

Anyway - Yes, I agree. There is something nice and old skool about the metal mags. I recently bought some CYMA 600 round metal AK mags for my CYMA AKM - which originally came with a hideous orange bakalite mag.

As soon as I put the metal mag on the AKM it immediately looks 200% meaner!

There is just something not quite right about plastic mags.
