Harris Ultralight bipod are the best for the price IMO.

They attach to the sling knob on the front of your rifle.

Any down side to running a bipod?

Yes, that one. You can buy it in most hunting stores. It's about 40$ from memory.

I got 4 of those on my rifles.

Downsides, few compared to not running one.

It tangle on grasses and branches when low crawling.
It add a little weight to your rifle (very little)
It can make some small noises (but harris bipods are sturdy and tight, the spring don't rattle)

I'm trying hard to find downsides here..

The plus are:

Give you a solid rest, even when folded. (I use mine folded most of the time)
It give a good holding spot in some situations where you need to elevate your rifle from the ground with just your hand. I also hold the rifle by the bipod (folded) when crawling. I rest the rest of my rifle on my arm, holding it by the bipod on a lowcrawl.

There's also the Rockmount bipods (identical to Harris but about 25% cheaper and not as high quality, but completely usable for real steel.......... Le Baron carries them too, so Cabela's should as well), I have the swivel type on both my rifles and love it. Swivel types are very useful, almost critical for airsoft use. The non-swivel types are meant for bench use mainly, the swivel types cover everything else. Swivel allows you to level your crosshairs when you rest on anything quickly, but both types have legs you can extend and set up for various terrain. I mostly use my bidpods as a means of standing my rifle, or bench shooting, but will use them on the hood of a car or anywhere else I see a use for them. And rarely do I take it off.

Stalker's right about the swivel thing. If I could, I change all my bipods so they could swivel. Having a "solid" one is still managable, but not as confortable to use on uneven ground.
