magpul miad grip kit

I received my miad grip kit a few days ago. I install it onto my toptech m4. When i screw the cap back on without the motorplate the motor can still move around 1-2 mm more. I tried firing it and it made a highpitch noise. Luckily no damages, but what's with the high pitch noise? The motor can still move 1-2mm in and i know the noise is not from the motor. I need help asap....

Oh, since i'm still new to airsoft, i really don't know if the sound is originally supposed to be like that.

Did you adjust the motor height adjustment screw? The high pitched noise is because your motor isn't close enough to the gearbox. If you don't know what you're doing, get advice or help before pulling the trigger again or you'll end up stripping the teeth on your piston teeth and/or your bevel gear. Or in a worst case scenario, you can even smoke your motor.

Thanks for telling me. So what happens if it's too tight?

Your motor won't turn or will have difficulty turning. Results of that could be a burned out motor (you'll actually see smoke come off it), melted wires, a popped fuse (if you still have one) or even a damaged battery.

If it doesn't turn when you pull the trigger or sounds really strained, DON'T pull the trigger anymore until you've loosened the motor height a bit.

Read the manual that came with your gun to find out how to do that. Move in quarter-turn increments.
