Request: Wiring schematic for Steyr AUG Mosfet install

Hello,

I am in search of a clear wiring schematic to show how a mosfet would be installed into a TM AUG; just the orientation of the wires/where to splice in the fet.

The mosfet in question is the SW-AB-LONG Break, Thermal Fuse, Wires Attached from extreme-fire.com.

Thanks for any help, I have been searching finding only badly written guides in other languages; googles a mystery to me sometimes!

I'm just reread the title of your thread...sorry. I'm not that familiar with the wiring layout for the AUG. Also the MOSFET does not "splice" into the existing wiring...most times, it replaces it (certainly does for the switch part).

It's pretty straight forward...

Basically the battery end goes to the battery...simple enough.

The black motor wire goes straight to the motor and the red one goes to the switch and continues to the motor. You can either use two separate pieces of wire, or do the bend/split thing shown in the pic. bend and split is much easier.

The trigger wire (in the pic it is red...best to check yours to be sure) goes to the upper part of the switch.

The pics show it routed through the front of the mechbox. It's the same but different routing for wiring to the rear. Both Air-sharp.com and airsoftmechanics.com have more detailed write ups, but the above is basically it. It would also depend on what rifle, front or rear wiring, etc...

If you need a hand, I can help you out. I was thinking of rewiring another rifle with the computer version...but haven't decided for sure.

There's info on this and adding a capacitor in the "Aug helpdesk" thread on Arnies Airsoft. I don't have the link off the top of my head.
