Looking for new chest rig/vest

So after a few years of playing with surplus webbing I've decided to upgrade to MOLLE gear. Basically I'm looking for a vest or chest rig that's pretty light, holds 4 to 8 mags, hydration pack and misc. pouches. I really like the idea of built-in mag pouches, but it's not really mandatory to be honest. I did some searching through retailers and I think my best options are the SOTech Falcon, TAG Gladiator or RRV. I was wondering how people feel about these options and if they have any recommendations on these or any other gear. Thanks.

And of course pretty pictures:

TAG is shit, for the price you pay.
Depending on your price range and what you want, either go with Eagle, LBT, TT, or SOEtec.

I am currently rock an HSGI Weesatch (which is a plate carrier, but very chest-rig esq.)
It's a great piece of kit for longer, mil-sim type playing but gets very hot for skirmishing.
I would be inclined to go with a light open-backed chest-rig and then a seperate hydration carrier. Perhaps the SKD version of Eagles universal chest rig? Or the LE 6 mag chest rig also from Eagle.

Barring that I was looking pretty hard at a Gladiator before I found my Weesatch.
I think that it comes down to price and availability. If something comes-up used for a really good price then jump on it. And above all else, try to avoid knock-off gear. Some is good, but real stuff is just that much better with a guarentee that you can rely upon.

On another note, airsoft mags are shorter then RS so I'm running spacers in the bottom of my integrated mag pouches and I really like it.
Cheers,
Grant

Eagle UCR ( universal chest rig ) .. get the one with Molle panels on either end ..

buy a 3 l camelback back pack... and you are set..

for a more complete loadout...

Padded patrol belt with suspenders.. for pistol , dump pouch and small pouch essentials ( one double mag pouch ) at least.

this will give you the flexibility for any mission profile yet remain a low mass rig..

get it all in OD or CB and it goes with any camo...

and you are set.

HSGI (High Speed Gear Inc) I think its pretty good as well. I have a Wasatch like the previous poster said a few posts above. You can use it open-backed, but its tight fitting.

I'm rocking an OD Fast Attack Plate Carrier (FAPC) with a Fast Attack Rack from Diamondback Tactical. Great quality, and good price too. I do suggest getting one of the Fast Attack Racks.. FAPC and the F.A.R.

+1 for HSGI, I've got one of their Warlords.

TT is good, and Eagle is the dogs

This is good stuff, I think over the holidays I'll rethink what I really want from my gear and try to trim my options. Right now I think I'm leaning towards the TT MAV system.

I just got myself a SPEC OPS Modular Chest Rig in black from sealsactiongear.com

I can fit a ton of stuff on it and is very low-profile.
I also have the Camelbak HAWG in black which I also purchased from Seals.
Both are excellent kit and are very well made. I actually use the HAWG as my everyday backpack it is so comfortable.

Here are the links:

Ive owned TT mav's , TT plate Carriers (paraclete cumberbund) , BH , Eagle vests hsgi chestrigs and currently use a PPM patroller chest rig. Its the same build quality as TT , but has an extra row of pals high and has more pals webbing overall. The closure in the front is closer together then a mav so you get more usable space for mag pouches. Im pretty happy with the PPM rig and the pouches I have as they are very well thought out and are an excellent price from optactical. I found the mav didnt have enough pals realestate for what i needed.
