The RAP4 series shoot .43 paint balls/rubber balls. It would still hurt like a bitch, but hey, it just makes the game more realistic.

.43g? i found 0.029 oz http://rap4.com/paintball/os/rubber-...ls-p-2662.html EDIT i see further down thats what im talking about seems like a better size than .68 but all in all i dig the airoftability with or without the shell ejecting (i read they have metal shells also) it should have a nice report like a pB marker wand that would add to the realism IE a well coverd target could give away his position plus a 20round mag making you choose your shots wisely

It would also cost a ton for replacement shells.

The metal ones ya but the plastic ones are cheap and reuseable they offer a shell catcher

I wouldnt recommend a rap4.I bought one and regretted it. The internal air refillable tanks were recalled because of explosion hazard. That was one of original features that was important to me. It was replaced with a inline hose adaptor (not cool for me). There website is a confusing /contradictory experience. Basically sold my .68 Rap4 for a loss(and was happy to do so). I will take my more realistic airsoft aeg anyday. |

That's why I'll ever consider the Rap4 as a last resort only.
AEG performe admirably better in all aspect. They might not sound as loud, but IMO, that's a bullshit excuse. Note on sound: I played a CQB game with my Peltor Soundtrap last weekend. It was quite an experience. Those thing emplify your normal earing, while shutting out sound that are too loud. Every AEG sound like a real machine gun, all BBs impacts on the wall sound like a very big impact... Well, made the CQB environement a real auditory mess when the volume was at it's maximum. Even my cloths rubbing on itself was too loud. I could even hear the radio in a truck parked 2 floors down outside, windows closed (both building and truck). The point is, for paintballers used to loud gunfire sounds, wear Peltors, you'll look cool, have your hears safe and everything will sound louder. The rest, it's something you get used to.

Well, don't we play mostly at paintball fields?.Also, the plastic shells are
bio degradable, there was a kit that I am waiting for that lets you use AEG mags. The guy is over seas and I am wiating for him to get back.

looks like an AEG to me. using regular BB's too.
But, if you don't mind breaking down an AEG to clean it 'ALL' the time, then you could always just use 6mm paintballs with any AEG or GBB. |

They are saying it is a all new core in this marker, has a moving bolt
system and cock to load set up.

IMO You are better off with a reputable Airsoft Manufacturer who has been in the bizz for a awhile and who makes guns you can trust.
the RAP company is not even a reputable paintball manufacturer, at least not here in Ontario. Espeically their Pump (shotgun) paintball markers... Garbage. So in theory, if its a bad paintball gun, converting it to Airsoft simply makes it a bad airsoft gun. If you want paintball, go Tippmann m98 .. or spend some bux and get a Real paintball gun like an Eclipse 'Ego' , a MacDev '06 Cyborg' , or a Dye 'DM7' If you want airsoft, well.. don't go RAP. Id rather have my full plastic TM AK Id give them more time before they finally get it right.. to me, anything that is a Kingman 'Spyder' clone, is not worth your time.

I believe it is a Co2 powered GBB with select-fire. Can't say if their system is reliable.
