My Double Eagle MP40!!! Awesomeness!!

Hey all. Just thought I'd share this sweet airsoft gun I got. Check out the specs:

Blazing orange barrel! (Because you know that means you're part of the SS in WW2)
Spring cocking action (It's like semi auto but better, because I get a work out every time!!)
Lightweight! (Imagine having to lug around 10 lbs all the time? This is soo much more l33t).
It comes with awesome YELLOW BB's, so you never loose them!!!

On 2 the pix!!
Here's a stock picture. You can see the awesome, period accurate 20mm rail!!! For all the red dots you want! Just like in 1939!!!

Okay okay okay. I kid I kid.....

I was bored and I got this guy from Jeff at Captial Airsoft. So I figured what can I do to make it a bit better? Well lots. I turned it into a display peice, rather than anything else, because it's all I could do. So it was an airosft gun, hence the airsoft media thread. :P

Anywho here's what I did, for those that really care:
Gutted the gun.
Bondoed the trades.
Cut the rail off.
Cut the holes for the bolt.
Filled in the cocking holes.
Cut out ejection port.
Added fake ejection port cover, bolt carrier, bolt.
Sanded smooth little bits and peices.
Sanded off and bondo'ed the trades.
Filled with just under 10 lbs of lead shot. (real gun weighs 8.7lbs unloaded).
Poured in liquid resin to cure and harden so there is no rattling.
Painted.
Painted.
Painted.
Swore a lot.
Painted.
Swore even more, got hammered.
Painted again.

Then it's sorta done. I think it needs more of the gloss look to it. I tried to get a bit of weathering done, but I think I might have over done it.
Anyways I think it'll work for now, been busy so it's sorta just been a fun thing.

Anyways on to the pics!

Thanks for looking.... I know you'll probably bitch me out, but fuck it. Looks good on the wall.
