G&P M4A1 battery and charger...

Whats the best (safe maximum.) battery choice for a G&P M4A1.

Note that I need a battery that will fit the original foregrip compartment. I heard that is was kind of small...

9.6 is the max I think. Nunchuck?

And now what about a good smart charger for it. I need good web site to get it both also.

Why don't you just stick with a 8.4 mini pack? I recommend www.cheapbatterypacks.com

I use the Elite 8.4v 1500mAh mini pack in my 400fps upgraded AUG and it lasts for a whole day milsim.

You might just want to buy 2 batteries and change them if you're really afraid of running out of juice. If you need something to last a long time, you're not looking for something with higher voltage. That will just increase your rate of fire. You're looking for something with a higher capacity (mAh). There are 9.6V mini nunchuck batteries that usually fit inside handguards, however I don't recommend those as they're made from AA cells and have low discharge rate meaning they have trouble putting out enough amps to cycle your gun (especially if it's upgraded to the ~400FPS range).

8.4v is plenty.

8.4V is plenty of voltage for rifles. Some people like to have higher rates of fire and thus use 9.6V batteries but that's the only advantage you will see.
