What frequencies would you need to cover in order to occupy the same range as an FRS/GMRS (22 Channels) ?

Not sure about that. These radios are new to me. All I've ever owned was an FRS radio. I believe I did see a guide somewhere a while back (possibly here on ASC) that had the frequencies and their FRS/GMRS equivalents.

Thanks for all the info guys. The link SINN posted is the one that I had seen some time ago. Good and simple info right there. Just what I needed to get standard FRS/GMRS frequencies, and I can program in whatever is necessary after that.

Thanks to all for the advice, suggestions and helpful links. I now have my Linton 6288 ad it's all programmed for the standard 22 FRS/GMRS channels.

I don't have a COM port on my computer (laptop has one, but left it at work), so I had to manually program the radio, but it worked out well. Took a couple of minutes with the manual to figure that out. Once I got over that little learning curve, everything went smoothly. I tested it (both send & receive) with my cheapo FRS/GMRS radios and it worked perfectly.

I can't wait to actually get to use this thing in the field.
