5.11 m4 pouches
So I picked up some of these:
http://www.511tactical.com/511-singl...gee-58709.html I'm having some difficulty with the bungee cords, they aren't very stretchy, and provide very little give. It was difficult enough getting the cords to fit over my m4 mags, but I don't see how you could quickly get the mags out for reloads. Anyone have some pointers as to what they do? Wrap the cord around the pouch out of the way, cut them off?? Thanks in advance. |

I think usually you would "travel" with the ammo tucked under the cord, but when shooting you can pull the cord off the mag then it's exposed and can be pulled out when req'd.
If it really bugs you, you can cut them and re-thread some slightly longer shock cord on them. You can get shock cord at Daves. |

Just seems like there should be another way of dealing with it, or I'm using it wrong because I'm sure other people must have fallen into the same issue.

They will stretch over time..you may find that you will eventually have to tighten them up. that's been my experience with mag shingles and bungee stays.

Ok thanks. But in the mean time, how do I get them to be functional. Did you just have them strapped on and had tricky mag changes for a while until they stretched?

Strap some mags into them to stretch them out, and store them like that for a while.
