1911 holster question
Hi,
Has anyone attempted to fit a WE 1911 Tactical (with rail) in a Blackhawk CQC hoslter (lockable) for 1911? I would assume that the rail would be in the way? Thanks, Bong

Blackhawk CQC SERPAs are made to fit railed 1911s, but you may have to completely remove the retention spring, unscrew the screw in the side of the holster just below the trigger lock, and remove the plastic spring mechanism from the inside of the holster. It should fit easily then.

no. youre removing the spring that pushes on the frame from the bottom, holding the top of th slide against the inside top of the holster. You arent touching the locking mechanism itself, just the friction retention mechanism, youre removing it completely. I did it to mine, with 1911s and GSRs it works beautifully.
