its an aftermath mp5. got it for cheap so i wanna try and get it going. At first as soon as the battery was plugged in it would fire in auto mode on its own. Now it doesnt fire at all and after about a minute the battery is so hot you can't hold it.

Sounds like your battery is getting short circuited or your motor adjustment is to high so theres a massive load on your motor
Or your battery is on its final breath... have access to another one? |

no. I was thinking maybe it was a battery problem. Bought it new at a paintball store. He was selling it cheap to get rid. Should i try a new battery first?

yes try a new battery first...what kind of charger are you using? the first battery i had i charged it with 1 of those simple wall chargers, charged that bad boy for 24 hours... yup fried that bad boy did the same thing fire a few times then get REALLY hot. so yea a new battery and IF your using the shit wall charger serch for the graph on this site about charge times... i have a smart charger(they should be called dumb chargers cause you cant fk it up)

had a similar problem with my kraken. you can take 99% of the people on this site's word for the fact that the wiring on aftermath products is greatly sub-par haha.
