MP5 Gear jam

While I was playing, my gears jammed up so, that was the end of me. After returning home, I opened up my mechbox and I noticed my anti-reversel latch was on the other side of my gear...Not sure if this is what caused the jam, but very suprised to see it their. Now, I just got this gun back from my gunsmith and it was working great, however before I played it, the motor came out, and Im not 100% on how to properly allign the motor and think this may be the result of my gun jamming, so before gaming my gun tomorrow.

How do you properly allign a motor?

And yes...I have searched on how to, and am currently reading.

Do you mean your motor height?

If that is that case.

1. Insert the motor, careful not to catch the wires directly underneath or on the sides of the motor.

2. Screw in the Motor Plate screws, keeping firm pressure on the motor plate, making sure not to let go until both are in place.

3. Screw the motor plate's motor screw lightly clockwise, you should feel some resistance and then the screw will not turn, don't force it.

4. Turn the screw counter clockwise once. Pull the trigger, it probably won't fire. Turn it in half counter clockwise half turns until it fires.

5. Find the sweet spot, Once your gun is firing in semi, find the spot which SOUNDS like it's not chewing up the gears, it's a hard sound to find. Go clockwise and counter clockwise until you feel the motor is sitting happily.

It's a hard sound to hear for, but you will hear it eventually.

Good luck to you.

NOTE: Do all of your testing with your trigger set to semi-only. Holding the trigger down on auto with a locked motor can fry wires, blow fuses, and ruin your motor. I hope that puts the fear of God in you.
