Customs - Airsoft Parts

I'm heading over to Hong Kong to buy some AEG accessories, not guns. What can I bring back and what can I not bring back? I think I remember hearing that you can't bring back metal bodies or even some magazines with fake rounds. How about replica aimpoints/eotechs?

Reading the import FAQ would be a good place to start.

I don't think you will have problems with parts. Batteries and green gas I think are prohibited in most airlines.

You know I actually did a search using the wrong set of words, that's why I couldn't find what I was looking for. I can't believe it was in a simple place like this, my bad :banghead:

Batteries are allowed on the airplane are long as they are not in large quantities. From what i know batteries must be kept in your carry on and not in your checked luggage.

does that go for parts too? I'm thinking of getting a replica aimpoint/eotech but must it be a carry-on or in the checked luggage?

Nothing illegal about optics. Better to put it in your checked bag to avoid being asked to turn it on during the screening.
