About the gear up for the second time

Hi guys, It's been a long time since I haven't posted anything here. I used to play allot, although I broke several back bones 6 months ago while riding my motorbike on the highway at ridiculous speed. That being said, I came close to being paralyzed and that made me realize that, you've got one life to live and might as well just spend it at it's fullest. While I was at the hospital about 5 months ago, my girlfriend a that time (guess why I broke) sold my aegs.

Now, I want to gear-up again. I have about 2000$ lying arround.

I still have all my clothes (us navy, us urban, us camo, us desert and german camo outfits), so I basically need the guns, If I have to spend some more money into it, I could spare about 500$ extra but don't want to go beyond that. For now that is...

So yeah, I was thinking about a three-piece outfit (aeg, sniper rifle and a sidearm)

For the aegs i have always loved my old CA rifle, would love to get another Classic army, But... is there any other rifles that could compare quality wise (shooting + built quality) if so, please tell me . BTW, I dream about full-metal rifles at night, so it might be hard to sell abs guns, you can try hehe

as for the Rifle, well i'm sold to the star l96 rifle, which is, in my opinion the best looking l96 anywhere. click here for pictures Only thing, where can I get one apart from wgc. If I need to get thru all of the hassle to get age verified to get one, I sure will. But, even though I cream myself every-time I see one, is it worth it?

and well for the pistol, it's already chosen, it'll be the maruzen fiveseven 6mm

so yeah, tell me what you guys think about it.

Cheers

Have you read the reviews on the Maruzen FiveseveN? I'd personally wait until TM releases theirs, whenever that is.

For a full metal stock rifle, KA, G&P, KWA, G&G, VFC, ICS, STAR and SRC are all roughly equal or considerably superior to CA. You've got a lot of reviews to read. Do you have a model in mind (M16, G36, etc)?

Well, set up a meeting with a local age verifier, get age verified and then you will have access to the buy/sell for guns.

We have several people that can bring in whatever you want.
shootSOFT is what I use.

EDIT:

Your girlfriend does not love you if she sold all your airsoft guns.

The VFC 416 is a nice thing to have but it's out of production and rumored to be discontinued. Mine came from the classifieds here and I"ve seen others pop up over the last while. Getting verified would be a good bet.

I also have a VFC SCAR L and it's super too. It's tough to chose between the two. The nice touch is M4 mags swap between the two.

I don't think anyone has had their hands on the H with a EGLM yet, some Star L's with have been about.

If you can find any pictures of the Maruzen FiveSeven field stripped, you'll see the slide is held onto the lower frame by 2 very small rails made of plastic. I'd say they're about 1cm long each. That's all that is holding the slide from popping off the top.

As others have mentioned, it's very plastic'y feeling. No weight at all until you put the mag in, the mag however is quite nice.

The real FN 5-7 is quite light and feels plasticy as well.
Even loaded the pistol weighs under 800 g

Unloaded its just over 600 g

for those metric challenged.. 1.5 lbs unloaded 1.75 lbs loaded.

by comparison, the G17 is about 150 g heavier loaded

well, I'm thinking more and more about a full metal WE, with american legend grips and fully sanded and polished to give it the "hitman" look

That actually makes it a less sexy pistol for me. I've always liked the look and the reported performance of the RS but knowing it feels like a toy takes away from it somehow.
