PTW problematic magazine... keeps firing when empty

hey i got a prob with one of my mags. theres a little tab that keeps the bolt catch open to simulate an empty mag, but my little tab isn't working correctly.

The latch can easily be moved up and down without having that springy feel to it.

anyone know how to fix this?

Yeah, same thing happend to my Fuckin' '08 mag. I ended up destroying it, but what seems to be the problem is the follower isn't properly engaging the first arm, thus the second arm (that little tab you see is part of the second arm) doesn't function.

I can scan it if you need some clarification.

So far, I'm not too happy with systema's QC. I'm just lucky I got 9 '07 mags backed up.

And scans will be up shortly..

Are the 08' mags not fitting right with the 08' or 07' PTWs?

I had an 07' mag that wasn't feeding properly and took it apart & stretched the spring...pretty straight forward, there's not much to them! Take your time!

I too had 08' mags that were loose and I ended up selling them locally to a guy that said they fit his 07' just fine...Systema's QC on the 08's seems to have gone down the tubes since they have focused most of their attention as of late towards their MP5 being released!

How did you get the spring to stay in place? It kept flying all over with me..

I'm a surgeon...actually I'm just a plumber but that was the tricky part!
What I did was line up spring internally at the bottom of mag and then wind it around the "track" (putting minimal tension on the spring) and have it stick out where the feed lip is and slowly close up the mag. I would then force the spring back into the mag from the top and lastly insert the feed lip and close it up!
Take your time...you can't rush this!

okay! I got everything together.

It appears the issue is only present when the little follower is inserted. I have Absolutely no clue as to why this is happening.

Anyway, '08 mags are rubbish. And I'm really disappointed at the fact systema let this garbage out on the market. If I drop 2k on a gun, I'd atleast expect the mag to work.

Also.. the overly complex innards are really contemptible. I miss the classic AEG mags...
