I had to make sure the AIMS I'm working on was put away in the closet, lest it see this AK and have a nervous breakdown.

I'm just an AK purist..

lol Yeah, my Type 56 is tucked away in the gun closet in the other room. Otherwise, it would have wept and possibly self-destructed...

I'm sort of an AK purist myself. There's something about the rugged simplicity and effectiveness of a basic AK that just appeals to me. Armalites and other guns look cool with all kind of mods and accessories, but to me, an AK will always look best bare.

In all honesty, I like having the silencer on it... the bipod however... boredom+small saw = bad...

I tried my MP5's silencer on my Type 56, and it didn't look too bad. It makes it rather long and sort of awkward, but didn't look bad. If someone wanted to get great range out of their AK, the silencer could be used to concreal a long inner barrel. I wouldn't put one on myself for any other reason.

But I like my AKs virgin. The more gadgets it has, the less rugged it looks. And to me, the ruggedness is the appeal of the AK. Tacticool stuff looks much better on more modern, Western guns.

well the only silencer that should ever go on an Ak is the really fricken fat ones. the one you have crunch, I don't think I'd like but mine(crap from old crapsoft gun) looks nice IMO.

Yeah, mine isn't the ideal for an AK that's for sure. But I don't plan on ever installing it again. It was done simply to see if it fit and what it looked like.

doesnt that defeat the whole purpose of a handguard if you stick a bipod right smack in the middle of it? I mean like, you wont be able to rest your hand there, you would have to hold your hand on the barrel, which is ill advised on the real steel counterparts, defeating the realism...

=3 I hold the receiver/mag area. so the bipod doesn't get in the way at all, also, having it there makes it a hell of allot less front heavy(compared to having the bipod on barrel).
