Body armour has to do more than just be able to stop a round - they have to be able to disperse the energy otherwise the user bears the full brunt of the force anyway.

Good one. I wish someone would come up with a design that is not as big and ugly as all pb goggles. I own hatch, bolle, probably 5 pairs of glasses and a pair of JT pb goggles. JT's are the only ones that never fogged to the point where I couldn't see. Not even once.

one's face will probably shatter but the glasses will remain un-broken and eyeballs remain unscathed. Theres really no point in wearing these unless they are impact absorbent.
at least you'd feel just a little safer when in contact point-blank with a loaded gun pointed to your eye. |

As a paintball player, and a Grill owner, I can seriously vouch for this mask. It's probably the best paintball mask in the world. VERY comfy, won't fog, etc.
If you were to get shot in the face with a .40 while wearing these, the energy may be distributed nicely along the (very comfy) foam lining (You'll be pretty bruised), and along the flexible rubber body of the mask. |

All i could think of while reading this thread is
"this girl is stuck on my ele elevator" and it would just repeat... What about a .357? Last edited by CadetCatastrophe; March 3rd, 2008 at 17:29.. |

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

Don't forget, just because something is rated to .22, doesn't mean it can't take anything larger.

I say we have some fun with this and see exactly how much punishment these goggles can take...

Exactly how many joules is a .40 at that range?
