Translated, he suggested that expanding foam stuff used for insulation in houses. That seems like a really good idea. Some of my plates are a bit cracked (they`re rather fragile); filling them with sand just seems like they'll eventually crack for real and leave me with a vest full of loose sand.

You can get those toy soldier plates off eBay, btw. They come out to about the same price as what 204 was selling them for, even after shipping from Asia.

I don't have the belly to use hard plates comfortably (I have used them though), so I just cut my own out of a matress.
