The G&P Aimpoint Replica (30mm Red Dot)

Do the lens covers and the lens cover attachments come off?

These two pictures will illustrate my meaning. Here's the first, a G&P aimpoint with lens covers.

In the second, you have an actual aimpoint sight with NO lens covers.

Is it possible to remove the lens covers on the sight?

Thanks in advance,

~Coyote

Mine snapped into place in those grooves, and I've found them excruciatingly frustrating to remove.
